Two More Tornadoes Confirmed, Bringing St. Louis Forecast Area Total to 40 for 2025

St. Louis, Mo. (KFMO) - The National Weather Service has confirmed two additional tornadoes in the St. Louis forecast area following continued damage surveys across the region.

One tornado was identified in southern Crawford County, and another in northern Washington County.

These newly confirmed tornadoes bring the total number for the St. Louis NWS forecast area to 40 so far in 2025. Officials emphasize that this number remains preliminary and could change as further survey data is analyzed in the coming weeks.

Survey crews continue to assess storm damage from recent severe weather outbreaks, and additional tornado confirmations remain possible.

The National Weather Service encourages the public to report storm damage and share photos and videos when it is safe to do so, as this information helps improve the accuracy of assessments.
