Two Injured in Three-Vehicle Crash on U.S. 67 Near Shannon Road

St. Francois Co., Mo. (KFMO) - Two people were injured in a three-vehicle crash Monday afternoon on U.S. 67 Southbound near Shannon Road in St. Francois County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at around 3:25 p.m. when a 2021 Ford Bronco, driven by a 35-year-old man from Park Hills, failed to notice slowing traffic ahead. Troopers say the Bronco struck the rear of a 2020 Honda Accord, which then caused the Bronco to continue forward and hit the back right side of a 2020 Ford Explorer. The impact caused the Bronco to overturn.

The driver of the Bronco and the driver of the Honda Accord, a 60-year-old man from Bonne Terre, both sustained minor injuries. Neither of the other drivers were seriously hurt. The two injured men were transported by the St. Francois County Ambulance District to Parkland Health Center in Bonne Terre. All three vehicles were towed from the scene.

The accident report indicates the driver of the Bronco was inattentive at the time of the crash.
