St. Francois Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A St. Francois County woman is facing multiple charges after deputies say she pointed a loaded rifle at two people during a domestic incident earlier this summer.
According to court documents, Central Communications received a 911 call on August 6 reporting that 38-year-old LeAnn Heiring had a firearm inside a residence. Deputies say Heiring exited the home with a backpack containing cocaine and drug paraphernalia. Witnesses told investigators she retrieved a Marlin .22-caliber rifle, loaded it, and pointed it at one of the victims while making threats. Video evidence also showed her holding the gun on her lap and a knife in her hands.
Authorities say Heiring admitted to loading the rifle but claimed she only pointed it at others by accident. She reportedly held the weapon for about an hour before deputies arrived.
