French Village Man Seriously Injured in Head-On Crash in Ste. Genevieve County

Ste. Genevieve Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A French Village man was seriously injured in a head-on crash late Wednesday morning in Ste. Genevieve County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 11:21 a.m. on southbound Highway D, just north of Hart-Pinkston Road.

Investigators say a 2019 Harley Davidson motorcycle, driven by a 50-year-old man from French Village, crossed the center line and struck a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee head-on. The Jeep was driven by an 18-year-old woman from Farmington.

The motorcyclist was not wearing a safety device and suffered serious injuries. He was airlifted by Air Evac to Mercy Hospital in St. Louis. The driver of the Jeep was reportedly wearing a seatbelt and was not listed as injured.

Both vehicles sustained extensive damage and were towed from the scene.
