Fredericktown, Mo. (KFMO) - Fredericktown elementary students are discovering how agriculture impacts their everyday lives through Missouri Farmers Care’s Agriculture Education on the Move (Ag Moves) program.
Fredericktown FFA members are leading the ten-week curriculum, helping students explore topics like crops, livestock, soil and water conservation, nutrition, and agricultural careers. The STEM-based lessons include hands-on projects such as making butter, creating corn plastic, and building soil profiles. Ag Moves connects classroom learning to real-world farming while fostering leadership and agricultural literacy.
The program reaches more than 12,600 Missouri students each year, offering materials and educators to participating schools at no cost.
