Jefferson Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A 63-year-old Festus man was arrested after allegedly attacking another man during a property dispute, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies say the incident occurred on June 24, 2025 in the 1400 block of Eva Way, south of Festus. The alleged victim told authorities he was mowing grass when the suspect approached him with a piece of wood. The two men reportedly argued about whether the grass was being cut on the suspect’s property. During the confrontation, the suspect allegedly struck the man in the chest with the wooden object. The victim refused medical treatment at the scene.
The suspect was arrested and taken to the Jefferson County Jail in Hillsboro. He was booked and later released pending the application for formal charges.
