Cards Sweep Sunday Doubleheader, Win Series with Mets

St. Louis, Mo. (KFMO) – The St. Louis Cardinals swept a Sunday doubleheader to take two games out of a three game series with the New York Mets over the weekend.

In the first game of the series on Friday night the Mets were victorious 9-3 with 17 hits in the game handing Sonny Gray his first loss of the season on the mound.

Scott II doubled in the bottom of the sixth that scored Yohel Pozo and broke a 4-4 tie. McGreevy handled New York hitters after for the win.
