FB, Week 7: Aaron Cook's Two First Half Touchdowns Propel North County Raiders To Win Over Windsor Owls, 24-16

(Imperial, MO) Aaron Cook and the North County Raiders get back in the win column in Week 7 with a road victory over the Windsor Owls 24-16.

The Raiders exploded for 17 points, all in the second quarter to lead the Owls 17-0 at halftime. North County used a field goal by Cole Mullins followed by a 69-yard rushing touchdown by Cook a drive later to take a quick lead in the second quarter.

Cook added a second rushing touchdown for 25 yards just before halftime. Cook finished the victory with 173 rushing yards, and the two TDs on 17 attempts. After the win, North County Head Coach, Brian Jones, says Aaron Cook is the type of player that can have a successful night any given week.

Raider QB, Henry Allebach, added a 4-yard rushing touchdown in the third quarter to end the Raider scoring with 5:10 left before a quarter break.

Allebach’s touchdown separated two TDs by Windsor’s AJ Patrick. Owls Head Coach, Jeff Funston, like the way his responded to being down 17-0 at halftime.

Both defenses began the game strong stopping any opposing threat with ease. North County’s Colin Mullins, who had been kicking in place of the injured, Landon Carroll, booted a field goal from 24 yards out that began scoring.

Allebach completed 10 of 14 passes for 121 yards. He added 30 yards on the ground.

North County improves to 2-5 and is at Potosi Friday in a broadcast game, while Windsor falls to 3-4. The Owls are in St. Clair in Week 8.
