Cardinals Allow Under 30 in Both Halves, Stomp Three Rivers, 75-51

(Park Hills, MO) The Mineral Area Cardinals began Region 16 play with a win over the Three Rivers Raiders, 75-51 on Kevin Thurman Night at the Bob Sechrest Fieldhouse on Saturday.

The MAC Defense was the story in the victory. Going into Saturday's affair, the Cardinals defense ranked tops in the nation with the lowest points allowed per game (50.4). MAC allowed 24 points against in the first half and just 27 in the second. Mineral Area Head Coach Luke Strege on the defesnive effort.

Ibo Drame tallied a game high 20 points in the win, Amarion Dickerson added 16 points and Dior Conners contributed 12 points. Was Coach Strege satisfied with the offense in the victory?

Three Rivers were paced by 11 points from Mo Niang, Lamont Jackson added 10 points. The Raiders fall to 0-2 in Region play and 5-9 overall. MAC is 12-2 and 1-0.

Mineral Area is off until Saturday to wrap up the 64th Annual Rotary Shootout, that features 6 high school games followed by the Lady Cardinals then Cardinals. The MAC men play Richard J.
