Peggy Mary Sue Koen, 95, of Troy, Mo. , formerly of this area, passed away July 17, 2025.
She was born on June 15, 1930 at St. Louis, Mo. to her parents, the late Henry Stringfield and Ethel May ‘Midland’ Stringfield. Peggy was also preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Edward Koen.
She is survived by her children, Peggy Ann Tipton; Donna Torres and Rev. Russell Edward Koen and his wife Laureen,
9 Grandchildren; 16 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren,
Her sister Jennie Huemoller,
Sister-in-law Jean Koen,
Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Peggy was an avid seamstress and enjoyed embroidery.
Peggy and her husband enjoyed square dancing every Sunday while they lived in Millstadt, Illinois.
And she enjoyed singing solos with her sister Dorothy at various Church services and Funerals in the St. Louis Area.
She faithfully studied her Bible and witnessed to her children.
While living in Park Hills (Esther) she worshiped at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Farmington and the Methodist Church in Park Hills (Esther) with her husband until he died.
She is a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church Red Bud, IL.
God graciously blessed her throughout her earthly life.
Thanks be to our Gracious God for Peggy is now enjoying the eternal life promised by God through her Baptism and Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection.

Burial at St. Francois Memorial Park Cemetery in Bonne Terre, Mo.
