Curtis Miller

Curtis “Curt” Wayne Miller passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, August 31, 2025, surrounded by his family at the age of 63. He was born on March 1, 1962, in Farmington, Missouri, the son of the late Jesse and Hattie (Haynes) Miller.

Curtis lived a life full of adventures and accomplishments. He served in the Army National Guard for 12 years, worked in construction, drove over the road for Maverick Transportation, and was employed by the company formerly known as Consolidated Waste Industries.

Curtis loved to spend time with his family and friends. Curtis was the love of his wife's life and her soulmate, a devoted father, a loving and supportive brother, a loyal friend, and a compassionate man who was always willing to help anyone in need. In his spare time, he enjoyed helping his friends with automotive reconstruction and repairs, fishing, hunting, and playing his guitar. He was an active member of his church group.

Curtis is survived by his wife of 35 years, Susan Miller of Ste. Genevieve; his two daughters “his girls”, Tracie Carter and Linda Miller; his granddaughter, Alyssa Sidebottom; his grandsons, Todd Carter, Justin Normann, and Dalton Carr; and his sister, Sandy (Raymond) Canterberry of Knob Lick. Also surviving are nine great-grandchildren, many other beloved family members, and numerous special friends.

Curtis was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Kenneth Sidebotom; and two brothers, Roger and Joe.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in support of veterans and active-duty service members. Contributions can be mailed to P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675, or made online at support.woundedwarriorproject.org. Share your memories or condolences at cozeanfuneralhome.com.
