Warmer Weather Means Keeping Safe in the Heat

Park Hills, Mo. (KFMO) - With Summer set to officially begin June 20, 2025, now is a good time to review certain practices you should follow if you have to be outside on a hot day.

A Representative of the St. Francois County Health Center, Donovan Kleinberg, says if you're working in the heat keep yourself hydrated and take frequent breaks.

According to Kleinberg, heat is dangerous and 1,006 people died last summer, in the United States, from heat related illness, 36 of those deaths were in Missouri.
