Ste. Genevieve County Hospital Announces Department Closures and Restructuring

Ste. Genevieve, Mo. (KFMO) - Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital has announced a restructuring plan to address ongoing financial challenges.

Effective September 9, the hospital closed its Labor and Delivery Department and Home Health Department, while also making staffing adjustments in other areas. Hospital officials say the decision comes after extensive review, citing declining demand and rising costs for the affected services. The restructuring is aimed at returning the hospital to financial stability while focusing on expanding high-demand services such as outpatient surgery and women’s wellness.
