Farmington, Mo. (KFMO) - The 47th Annual Country Days celebration is officially underway in Farmington, beginning Friday morning with the traditional Prayer Breakfast.
Originally planned for Long Park, the event was moved indoors to Long Memorial Hall due to the threat of rain. Farmington Regional Chamber of Commerce Events Coordinator Emily Hulsey says the change of venue didn’t dampen the spirit of the event.
Hulsey says the breakfast brought together community members and business leaders to reflect and pray as the city kicks off a weekend full of activities. Pastor Rocky Good gave the message and music was performed by Jessica Jones and Drew Kernan.
Later this evening, the popular Country Days Parade will begin at 6 p.m. in downtown Farmington. Crowds are expected to line the streets to enjoy the parade, before participating the many events planned this weekend.
All events can be found at the Eat, Shop, Play in the Parkland app.
