Washington Co., Mo. (KFMO) - Five teens from Cadet were injured in a single-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon in Washington County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident happened at 3:51 p.m. on Route E near Ridge Crest Road. A 1997 Dodge Ram 2500, driven by a 16-year-old male, was traveling eastbound when it ran off the left side of the road and overturned. The driver, along with four juvenile passengers—all from Cadet—were injured.
A 12-year-old female occupant suffered serious injuries and was airlifted by ARCH Air Medical Services to SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital in St. Louis. A 13-year-old girl and a 15-year-old girl sustained moderate injuries, while a 14-year-old boy and the 16-year-old driver sustained minor injuries. All four were transported by ambulance to Washington County Memorial Hospital for treatment.
All individuals were reported to be wearing safety devices at the time of the crash. The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene.
