Farmington's Water Main Replacement Project Begins

Farmington, Mo. (KFMO) - City of Farmington work crews will begin a new water main replacement project in the areas of Aldergate and Haw Streets, Virginia and Yale Avenues, and Wesley Drive.

The replacement project was awarded to Girdner Contracting earlier this year. The contractor plans to begin work on the replacement project later this month. This will include cutting the streets to access the water mains, replacing mains and service laterals, and repairing the streets.

There will at times be one-lane streets in the area while work is being completed. The project is expected to take several months to complete.
