Farmington, Mo. (KFMO) - A special meeting will be held by the St. Francois County Commission this morning, Wednesday, July 23rd.
During Tuesday's regularly scheduled meeting, presiding commissioner Harold Gallaher attempted to amend the agenda to add an item concerning the purchase of five vehicles for the St. Francois County Sheriff's Department. St. Francois County Clerk Kevin Engler informed the committee that since the public had not been given 24 hours notice, the item would not normally be allowed on the agenda.
Following Engler's comments, the commission tabled the item until a meeting could be held 11 a.m. on Wednesday, officially giving the 24 hours notice needed. It is currently the only item on the tentative agenda.
