Description:
The City of Farmington is currently accepting applications for a Parks Maintenance Worker.
Typical duties include a variety of semi-skilled work in the construction, modification, maintenance, and repair of City infrastructure, including parks, park facilities and buildings, sports fields, recreation trails, landscapes, playgrounds and equipment, mowing and weed abatement; provides assistance with set-up and removal of equipment and facilities at special events; uses and operates a variety of manual and power tools and light to heavy power driven equipment; and performs related work as required.
Some overtime, weekend and evening work may be required. Starting pay is $16.00 per hour ($16.50 after successful completion of a six-month probationary period) with an excellent benefit package.
Qualifications:
A high School diploma or equivalent GED is required. Applicant must have a valid Missouri Class E Driver’s License. A Missouri Class A Commercial Driver’s License is required within 12 months of employment (paid for by the City).
